Iftar, the evening meal enjoyed after sunset to end the daily fast during Ramadan, is such a huge part of the Middle Eastern calendar, it's a chance to gather families and friends to enjoy a meal together as a community. At Honey & Smoke we usually mark Ramadan by creating our own Iftar menu for the whole month and love the energy that comes with late-night feasting. With the restaurant still closed this year, we're putting on a one-off feast instead!
While it's still a bit tricky to gather together in huge groups, our offering is a meal for 2 but with all the feasting and sharing elements from across the Middle East.
Starting with breaking the fast with medjool dates and sweet orange blossom iced tea, there's also rich and comforting harira soup, our favourite aubergine stew and sweet malabi milk pudding to finish.
Join us by ordering this one-off feast for Saturday 8th May. This meal will come with simple instructions for warming and serving everything up.
