About The Book
When Julia Child arrived in Paris in 1948, ‘a six-foot-two-inch, thirty-six-year-old, rather loud & unserious Californian’, she barely spoke a word of French & didn’t know the first thing about cooking.
As she fell in love with French culture - buying food at local markets, sampling the local bistros, & taking classes at the Cordon Bleu - her life began to change forever. We follow her extraordinary transformation from kitchen ingénue to internationally renowned (& internationally loved) expert in French cuisine.
Bursting with Child’s adventurous & humorous spirit, My Life in France captures post-war Paris with wonderful vividness and charm.
About The Joy Season
Honey & Co Studio launched in May with The Joy Season, the first programme of in-person events. With the single purpose of bringing more joy—because who can argue with more joy?—the season is all about taking up new hobbies, discovering new things, meeting new people, and exploring everyday pleasures. Sarit and Itamar will share their passion for ceramics—a pastime they took up during lockdown and which they now obsess over in their spare time—by leading a hands-on pinch pot making class, and they’ve invited a whole host of creatives to share their passions and pleasures through classes and workshops. From kimchi making to life drawing, from reading a good book to lino printing, there is something for everyone, all carefully curated.
Please note tickets are non-refundable.
